BRADWORTHY'S beard growing competition, which came to an end on Friday, February 13, raised over £2,000 for charity.
At the Bradworthy Inn on Friday night the bearded participants had their facial hair judged by Rev Richard Dorrington and Sharon and Terri Taylor, representing Devon Air Ambulance.
The winner of the 'Bushiest Beard' prize (kindly donated by Bradworthy Social Club) was Rodney Colwill.
ARTISTIC
Steve Cheel won the 'Best Artistic Impression' category, the prize for which was kindly donated by the Bradworthy Inn.
The most sponsorship money was collected by Malcolm Ham who raised £400. His prize was kindly donated by A Balsdon builders.
The competition raised an impressive £2,160 for charity which was split equally between Devon Air Ambulance and the North Devon Hospice.
The village has in the past hosted a charity moustache growing competition.
