ARMY cadets from across North Devon, including two teams from Holsworthy, have donated £1,560 to the 'Radio Devon Air Ambulance Appeal'.
The money was raised through sponsorship of teams entered into a laser games tournament hosted by Survival Laser Games of Torrington in November. A total of 95 cadets entered in five man teams and undertook a series of challenging scenarios including 'capture the flag', 'siege' and 'air drop'.
The cadets, boys and girls aged from 12-to-18-years-old, enjoyed a competitive but friendly series of battles, which saw Bideford finish as runners up and a coalition team of cadets from Barnstaple and Chulmleigh named overall winners.
The cheque was presented live on air to in December to Radio Devon's Jo and Shep.
