THE A395 has been closed both ways between the turnoffs for Laneast and Tresmeer following a serious collision this morning.
It has been reported that the traffic is coping well.
An AA traffic report stated: "Road closed due to serious crash on A395 both ways from Laneast turn off to Tresmeer turn off. The road is expected to be closed most of the day. Traffic is coping well."
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: "Police were called shortly before 7am today, August 3, following reports of a single vehicle collision on the A395 at Laneast, Launceston.
"One person is believed to have sustained serious injuries and the road is closed.
"The road is due to remain shut for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being."
