POLICE are reminding people in the community that they can be contacted in a non-emergency through a number of official services.
With the current restrictions in place, Devon and Cornwall Police are seeing an increased demand with reports and concerns around COVID-19 breaches — this is in addition to existing contacts from members of the public who need help.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We would like to remind our communities there are many ways to contact us in a non-emergency and any concerns around COVID-19 breaches can be reported through the online national reporting form.”
To make sure communities receive the best service from the police, anyone who needs to contact them should follow these simple steps:
1. If a breach of COVID-19 restrictions needs to be reported people can do so using the national reporting form on the police’s website at www.police.uk
2. Need to ask a question but not sure who to ask for help, then AskNED the non-emergency directory, which can be found at dc.police.uk/AskNED
3. Local people can find the answers to many of the questions frequently asked when calling Devon and Cornwall Police plus lots of helpful information and advice at dc.police.uk
4. Crime or information can be reported online using the WebChat or the Crime Reporting Form. Alternatively, people can email the non-emergency [email protected]
5. Call 101 the non-emergency number
But remember, in an emergency always call 999.
