POLICE have confirmed that there are injuries after an early morning road traffic collision near Holsworthy.

Two cars were reported as having collided on the A3072 between Waterloo Road and Anvil Corner.

It is understood that the incident involved a car and a van.

Devon and Cornwall Police have said that the extent of the injuries is not presently known and that the incident is ongoing.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A3072 near Holsworthy at around 7.45am today, Tuesday June 16.

“Emergency services are at the scene.

“Injuries have been reported to two people but the extent of these is not clear at this time.

“Local road closures were put in place.

“The incident is ongoing.”
