BUDE face fellow top-four outfit Liskeard-Looe at Bencoolen Meadow tomorrow (2.30pm) looking to extendtheir five-match winning streak.

The Seasiders fought back from 14-5 down at the break to win 19-14 last weekend at Wadebridge Camels with skipper Will Hockridge dotting down twice which was added to on both occasions by fly-half Brad Thomas.

With Falmouth being held by Launceston Castles and Liskeard-Looe dropping a point in beating Newquay, Bude moved up to third, but face a real challenge to get ahead of Helston and leaders Camborne Seconds. Liskeard arrive with an identical record of eight wins and three defeats from their 11 matches and sit level with the Seasiders on 37 points.

They also won the reverse fixture back in October.

Helston are four ahead of both teams with a game in-hand, while leaders Camborne have a 17-point cushion having played once more.

From last weekend there are two changes, both at centre as Joe Wilson drops to the bench and Ben Tharme is injured. Ed Hilliam-Cooke stays in the midfield having moved there early on last week when Tharme was forced off, and is joined by the returning Will Pharo.

Steve Eaton is preferred on the right wing to Adam Lovejoy, who made his senior debut at Wadebridge.

Elsewhere around the club this weekend, Bude Seconds head to Camborne-based Veor in Counties Three Cornwall League Cup, the ladies tackle Truro in Women’s NC 2 South West as they look to build on last weekend’s 17-5 victory at Helston.
