LISKEARD Athletic showed why they are many peoples' tips for the SWPL Premier West title as they fought back from 2-0 down to thrash Camelford at Lux Park.

Goals from Ross Beare and Olly Taylor gave the visitors a two-goal advantage by the 14th minute, but it was all square by the half hour thanks to Dan Jennings’ penalty and former Camels favourite Ryan Downing.

Mike Smith ensured the turnaround was complete on the hour, and Liskeard ensured the scoreline was even more emphatic with two late goals from Finn Bartlett and Max Gilbert, the latter a superb free-kick.

Camelford will look to bounce back on Saturday at new boys Truro City Reserves, while the Blues entertain fellow unbeaten side Holsworthy.

Both games kick off at 3pm.
