WITH the Holsworthy and District Ladies Skittles League now finished, the league have handed out their awards for the 2023/24 season.

In Division One, Boyton B, who finished on 64 points, were crowned winners by four points from runners-up, Milton Damerel A.

The club also had the highest aggregate with the A team securing 58. Magpie RBL were runners-up, 30 points behind. They also had the ‘Highest Team Away Score’ with 367.

The Wooden Spoon was shared by Halwill A and St Giles.

In Division Two, Highampton (59) finished as champions, eight ahead of Bradford A/B, while Launcells took the ‘Wooden Spoon’.

Clawton and Highampton shared the Team Highest Away Score with 491.

The Five Founders Knockout Cup was won by Bradford A/B with Highampton the runners-up.

Highampton were also second in the Challenge Knockout Cup, losing narrowly to North Tamerton by six shots.

The individual award winners were as follows: Individual Knockout Cup: Winner – Elizabeth Fisher (St Giles); Runner-up – Nancy Reilly (Poundstock); Joan Daniel Memorial Shield (Highest Away Average): Winner – Grace Lebe (Clawton) – 61.85; Runner-up – Nancy Reilly (Poundstock) – 58.65; Edna Youlden Cup (Over 60 Away Average) – Grace Lebe (Clawton); Secretaries Cup (Over 70 Away Average) – Hester Gill (Bradford A/B); Margaret Cobbledick Away Shield (21 and Under) – Ruby Richards (Highampton); Top Individual Away Game Score – Sandy Cheshire (Launcells) – 96 (18,16,16 (50) 14,17,15, (46) 96).

The league have also been awarded two entries for the 2023/24 Devon County Knockout competition.
