THE Stumble Inn head into Christmas well ahead in the Launceston and District Darts League Open Division.
They have a 20-point lead over Park Warriors who are in a close battle with Launceston Golf Club, Harveys Knights and Village Inn for the runners-up spot.
Bottom side Frog and Bucket, who have a game in-hand, have a seven-point gap to make up on Westgate A.
In the Ladies’ Division, leaders B’s & D’s are neck-and-neck with Queen Bees, with both on 40.
Some cup competitions have also been decided since the season started in September.
The Stumble Inn retained their 1001 Cup crown against Archers Arms at Colin Park, while the Team Singles, which sees one representative from each club take part, was won by Park Warriors’ Rob Jane who defeated The Stumble Inn’s Josh Fry 3-1 in legs.
The ladies’ doubles saw Jill Wilson and Veronica Retallick (White Hart Does) take the title off previous holders Therasha Shillibeer and Tracey Cockwill (Wanderettes) 2-1.
