THE fifth annual Marystow Tractor Run took place on Sunday, June 11 with 40 classic tractors taking part.

Such is the popularity of the run, people from as far as Exeter and Liskeard come along to lend their support.

Meeting at 10am, for an 11am start, the drivers went on a near three-hour drive where they took in the likes of Liddaton and Bridestowe before arriving back at the church hall.

Once back, they tucked into pasty and chips, which was organised by Iris Griffiths, before they all sat down for a chat.

Once church hall expenses had been paid, £160 was raised for the Devon Air Ambulance, the second time the charity had benefited from the Marystow Tractor Run.

One of the organisers of the tractors, Michael Martin, said: “It was a great day. Everyone is happy to come along and enjoy a good day out before heading back to the church hall for food.

“We try and find the quietest roads we can go on and as usual the support was great. Thanks to everyone who came along.”
