CORNWALL Council has confirmed that there will be road closures, prohibitions of stopping and a suspension of a one-way system in Launceston in August.

It has confirmed that from August 17 to August 28, there will be a road closure on Dutson Road, Newport Square and Roydon Road to facilitate resurfacing works.

There will also be a temporary stopping prohibition banning the stopping of traffic on roads during this time.

The road subject to the stopping prohibition is Dutson Road between the junctions with Newport Square and Ridgegrove Road, Newport Square between the junction with St Stephens Hill and grid reference SX 32871 85101, West Bridge Road and St Stephens Hill for their entire length and Roydon Road between the property known as Noosa and the junction with Dutson Road.

There will also be a suspension of the one-way order on St Stephen’s Hill.

The prohibitions will be in place between 7pm and 6am, weekends included.
