PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Alcohol licence application

AN application seeking permission for the granting of a premises licence in order to facilitate the sale of alcohol has been submitted to Cornwall Council.

Tracy Laura Horrocks has given notice that she has applied to Cornwall Council, as the licensing authority seeking the granting of the premises licence in respect of The Red Post, Launcells, Bude, EX23 9NW.

If granted, the licence will permit the supply of alcohol for on and off premises consumption on Mondays to Sundays between 12pm and 11pm.

Temporary restrictions

LIFTON: Two roads in Lifton are set to be subject to temporary closures until June 12.

The roads affected are the road from Stone Cross to West End Cottage and the road from Stone Cross to Lower Cookworthy Cross.

There will be an alternative route signposted in place for vehicles which will be via Lower Cookworthy Cross to Tinhay Bridge, North Road, Fore Street, past Lifton Park in both directions.

The closure is to enable ducting works to take place overhead and in verges.

KENNARDS HOUSE: The A395 between Pipers Pool and Kennards House, the A395 from Trethorne Golf Club to Kennards House and the slip road off of the A30 dual carriageway eastbound at Tregadillett are set for closure in late June.

It will be closed between 7pm and 6am, including weekends on the dates of June 22 to July 4.

The closure is to enable resurfacing works on the road to be undertaken.

There will also be a 10 miles per hour restriction during the day times on a stretch of road comprising 1,697 metres.
