PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Cornwall Council have confirmed that several roads in North Cornwall are set to be closed in the coming weeks.

These road closures are due to a number of reasons and as part of the authorisation process they are required to advertise the proposed closures in local news titles in order to make the public aware.

The latest public notices indicate potential road closures in Bude and Launceston.

BUDE: The road from County Road to Marine Drive in Upton, near Bude is set for a daytime closure in the middle of September.

Cornwall Council have confirmed that they have authorised the closure of the road from County Road to Marine Drive between the grid references of SS 20110 04797 and SS 20372 04843.

The closure is necessary to enable Circet TM to undertake ducting works.

It is set to be in force between September 14 and September 16, with the prohibition set to be in force between 8am and 6pm.

An alternative route will be signposted on site and there will be a maintained access to pedestrians during the hours of the road closure.

TRESMEER: The road from Tor Wood to the junction to the South East of Tregena in Tresmeer, near Launceston is set to be closed in mid September.

Cornwall Council have confirmed that they have authorised the closure of the road from Tor Wood to the junction to the South East of Tregena, Tresmeer, Launceston between the properties known as Churchtown Farm and the junction that provides access to Lanzion.

The closure will be in place between September 14 and September 16, with the closure in place for 24 hours a day on the listed dates.

It is to enable Cormac Solutions Ltd to undertake repairs to defective gullies in the area.

During the closure, there will be a maintained access to properties in the impacted area for pedestrians and there will also be an alternative diversionary route signposted on the site.
