PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

BUDE: Footpath 33 in the parish of Bude-Stratton is set to be closed from August 10 to October 19.

This is necessary as part of works to replace gas mains in the area, with multiple closures and diversions anticipated in the affected area.

It is between the junctions with The Strand Hill and Bramble Hill.

The prohibition will be in place for 24 hours a day, weekends included and it affects a public right of way.

BUDE: The road from Stursdon Cross to Coombe in Bude is set to be closed between August 10 and August 14.

The closure is necessary to enable footbridge replacement works to take place with the prohibition on traffic being in force for 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Access will be maintained for both pedestrians and vehicles.

LAUNCESTON: Windmill Hill in Launceston is set to be closed between July 27 and July 31 in order to enable new water connection works to take place.

It is set to be in force for 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

The road affected is Windmill Hill between the junction with Penworth Close and grid reference SX 33205 84161.

There will be a maintained access to pedestrian and vehicles requiring access to the affected area.

LAUNCESTON: Newmills Hill in St Stephens, Launceston is set to be closed between July 27 and July 31 in order to enable new water connection works to be undertaken.

The closure will be in force for 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

The stretch of road affected is Newmill Hill between the property known as Millcroft and the access to New Mills Farm.

There will be a retained access to vehicles and pedestrians.

LAUNCESTON: The A388 between Tavistock Road and Little Comfort in addition to the A388 between Little Comfort and the junction to the North West of Monks Hill is set to be closed between August 10 and August 15.

The closures will be overnight between 7pm and 6am.
