THREE people have been elected unopposed to the position of Padstow harbour commissioners.

Only one nomination for each area was submitted.

A spokesperson for the Padstow Harbour Commissioners said: “In the St Minver area (parishes of St Minver Highlands and St Minver Lowlands) only one nomination was received for the one vacant seat and Mr C Toogood is therefore duly elected to serve as a Harbour Commissioner until the elections to be held in 2029.

“In the Padstow area (parishes of Padstow and St Issey) only one nomination was received for the one vacant seat and Mr I Kitto is therefore duly elected to serve as a Harbour Commissioner until the elections to be held in 2029.

“In the Wadebridge area (parishes of Egloshayle, St Breock and Wadebridge) only one nomination was received for the one vacant seat and Mr D Martin is therefore duly elected to serve as a Harbour Commissioner until the elections to be held in 2029.”
