CARNIVAL Queens and colourful scenes were the order of the day as the Camelford Carnival was hailed as a great success by those who enjoyed the sights on offer.

Alongside representatives of nine other towns in the form of their visiting carnival royalty, were a diverse range of floats and displays as the great and good of the community of Camelford came together to enjoy their annual event.

Bella Heywood, Launceston Carnival Queen, was a proud recipient of the Hunt Family Perpetual Cup for best Carnival Queen Float.

Marney Baker, the carnival secretary, added: "What a night! I am one proud secretary. A massive thank you to all the local businesses who contributed and to everyone who came out to give their support we will be back bigger next year.”
