A MUSEUM which is lovingly run and maintained by volunteers has reopened for the 2026 season.

Volunteers from Bodmin Town Museum were joined by Cllr Liz Ahearn, the mayor of Bodmin, the town crier and councillors to mark the occasion.

A spokesperson for Bodmin Town Council said: “The mayor, fellow councillors and museum volunteers gathered to officially re-open Bodmin Town Museum for the coming year.

“The mayor thanked the volunteers for all their hard work and wished them a successful season.

“Bodmin Town Museum is now open until Saturday, October 31.

“Pop in and find out more about Bodmin's fascinating history for free. Donations are welcome.

“The museum is open on Monday to Friday between 10.30am and 4.30pm as well as Saturdays between 10.30am and 2.30pm.”
