THERE was another good turnout for the April Lezant Lunch Club.

Thirty-three members were greeted by Ken Scoble with some amusing stories. Members enjoyed a delicious meal of roast gammon served with fresh vegetables and parsley sauce.

A vegetarian option was also available. Dessert was a delicious traditional trifle.

A spokesperson said: “Our chefs were Irene Nash and Ruth Burden. Service was provided by Rebecca Gentry, Karen Luxom, Mary Bridger and Helen Judge. During coffee, Angela Morrison entertained members with a general knowledge quiz.”

The Lunch Club will next meet at Trebullett Hall on Wednesday, May 27. The cost to members is just £5 for two courses plus tea or coffee. Phone Ruth on 01566 782286 to book a place.
