A ROAD has been closed in Launceston after a fallen tree hit a vehicle this morning (January 9).

The road which connects Egloskerry and Truscott near Launceston has been closed after a tree collapsed during the aftermath of the night’s visit from Storm Goretti.

Police have closed the road while the tree is dealt with and removed by a tree surgeon.

The force have confirmed that during the tree’s fall a car was hit.

The vehicle is being recovered and Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that there were no injuries.
