THERE has been plenty to smile about at Launceston College this morning as students collected their A-Level results.

Students have seen their hard work pay off with some exceptional results, giving the school’s young people a boost as they move towards their next steps, be that university, apprenticeships or employment.

The school saw two students achieve places at Oxford, with others set to move to other prestigious institutions such as the University of Exeter, University of Bath, and University of Southampton.

Commenting on results, the school’s principal, Matthew Thompson has expressed his pride at what the students have achieved, and has wished them the best in their next steps.

He said: "I would like to congratulate every one of our students on their fantastic achievements today. These results reflect months of hard work and I am incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished. They are also a testament to the dedication of our staff and the invaluable support of families, who have encouraged our young people throughout their sixth form journey.

“Whether our students are progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment or another exciting opportunity, they leave Launceston Sixth with the confidence, skills and ambition to succeed. We wish every one of them the very best for the future and look forward to seeing all they go on to achieve."
