THE communities of Delabole and Camelford gave their thanks to and took a moment to remember those who fell in previous wars to protect their freedom as part of Remembrance Sunday events.

Not even the inclement weather could stop the gatherings, with the grey skies providing a gloomy backdrop to proceedings.

In Delabole, villagers gathered at the war memorial to hold their ceremony, with representatives from the parish council and other dignitaries laying wreaths as they took a moment to say thanks on behalf of the community.

A few miles away at the war memorial in Lanteglos, the town of Camelford played its part in remembering its fallen heroes, with a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial followed by a service at the church.
