IT is said to be the season of goodwill to all - and that was in abundance at Holsworthy’s Christmas lights switch on and festive market.
There was a good community turn out for the event, with those in attendance treated to a festive smorgasbord of entertainment, including Holsworthy Town Band and school children performing the traditional classics so often associated with the Christmas period.
Making a special appearance in between a busy diary of engagements and keeping an eye on whether the children were naughty or nice was Santa Claus himself, while parents browsed the offerings from the traders at the Christmas market.
Not even the occasional cloudburst of rain could spoil the occasion, with the start of a busy festive period marked in style by Holsworthy’s community.
