A HALWILL resident has celebrated her 102nd birthday!

Phyllis Bond celebrated her 102nd birthday with family and friends at the Manor Nursing Home in Halwill on Wednesday, July 3.

She was born at Patchacott and farmed at Brockcombe, Bratton Clovelly, until retiring to Halwill. She moved into the Manor in December 2018. Phyllis has one daughter, Monica, two granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah and four great grandchildren.
