POLICE have launched an appeal for information after a two-vehicle collision saw a road near Holsworthy closed.
The A3072 between the hamlet of Anvil Corner and Holsworthy was closed for several hours after the incident, which involved a black Honda Jazz and a white Volkswagen Caddy van.
Devon and Cornwall Police had previously reported that one driver was ‘reported to the court’ on offences relating to not driving with ‘due care’ in the aftermath of the incident.
Two people were injured after the incident, which took place during the early morning of Tuesday, June 16 although it is understood that the injuries of both people affected are not considered to be life threatening or life altering.
The road was reopened approximately five hours after the incident was first reported to Devon and Cornwall Police.
As police progress with their investigations, they are seeking anyone to come forward who might have information that could provide assistance with their enquiries, adding that they are particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and provide an account of what they saw.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision involving a black Honda Jazz and a white Volkswagen caddy, which occurred approximately 7.45am on Tuesday, June 16.
“The collision took place on the A3072 between Anvil Corner and Holsworthy in Devon.
“We are looking for anyone who witnessed the collision occur to come forward and provide an account.
