ONE person has been injured following a crash involving a car and a pick-up towing a trailer in Launceston.

Police were called to the incident at around 1pm following a collision on Western Road today (March 9).

The force has confirmed that as a result of the crash one person is reported to have sustained injuries but the extent of these is not known at this time.

As the incident is ongoing, with emergency services at the scene, local road closures have been put in place.
