Holsworthy FC and Bradworthy YFC raise money for FORCE

By The Post in Football

A HOLSWORTHY AFC XI hosted a Bradworthy YFC XI to raise money for the cancer charity FORCE on Sunday, July 9.

Bradworthy YFC chairman, Ryan Walter, wanted as many members as possible to have an enjoyable day and raise money at the same time, so a charity football match against an Holsworthy AFC XI was arranged as the charity is close to people from both clubs.

Ryan said: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to Holsworthy’s first team manager Liam Dart who helped organise the day with me and also to all at Holsworthy Football Club who contributed to a great day.

“It was brilliant to see a good crowd at the Upcott Field on a lovely afternoon raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

“In the end the Holsworthy XI were a little bit fitter than the Bradworthy YFC lads and ran out comfortable winners, but most importantly we raised a total of £340, which is a fantastic amount.

“I’d like to say thank you to all that turned up and made it such an enjoyable day for everyone.”
