HOLSWORTHY Football Club held their annual presentation evening at Holsworthy Golf Club on Friday, May 19.

It was an interesting season at the Upcott Field with the first team finishing fourth bottom in Division One West of the South West Peninsula League while the reserves finished third in the North Devon League’s Intermediate Two division, a point off local rivals Bridgerule who won promotion.

As one might expect for a player who scored 19 league goals in a struggling side, Romanian striker Tudor Placinta swept the first team awards winning the Managers Player, Supporters Player and the joint Players Player of the Year award with goalkeeper Josh Curtis.

The Reserves was also dominated by one man with Jake Cartwright winning the Players Player and Managers Player of the year awards.
